Linton man arrested on child sexual abuse material charges
/A Linton man was arrested this week following a months-long investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse material, according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
The investigation began in August 2025 and was conducted by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, an affiliated member of the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, officials said. The investigation led authorities to identify Thomas Felker, of Linton, as a suspect.
Following the investigation, a felony arrest warrant was issued on Jan. 13 charging Felker with 10 counts of Level 5 felony possession of child sexual abuse material, according to the sheriff’s department.
Felker was arrested on Jan. 14 and booked into the Greene County Jail, officials said.
The Indiana ICAC Task Force is a multiagency group led by the Indiana State Police that investigates crimes involving the online sexual exploitation of children. Each year, ICAC investigators evaluate thousands of tips, investigate hundreds of cases and rescue children from ongoing abuse, according to the sheriff’s department.
Authorities encourage residents to report online exploitation, solicitation or enticement crimes involving children to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) or their local law enforcement agency. Assisting agencies in the investigation included the Indiana State Police, the Monroe County High Tech Crime Unit, and the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
