Jasonville Water Plant transitions to new filtration system
/The Jasonville Water Plant has recently begun operating a new filtration system as part of ongoing improvements to the city’s water treatment process.
During this transition, chlorine levels must temporarily be maintained at a higher level to ensure proper treatment. As a result, some customers may notice a brown discoloration in their water.
Officials emphasize that the water is tested daily and remains safe for use and consumption. While the discoloration may be concerning, it is a temporary issue associated with the system change.
The water department appreciates the patience and understanding of customers as the new filtration system stabilizes. It may take some time for the system to fully adjust and for all related issues to be resolved.
