Homicide under investigation in Owen County
/Owen County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Matt Miller announced Thursday that a homicide investigation has been ongoing since Tuesday night when a deceased woman was found lying in a roadway in rural Owen County northwest of Spencer.
OCSD deputies were dispatched around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14, to Texas Pike near Manhattan Road after they received a report of a person lying in the roadway.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they found the body of a deceased woman.
An autopsy was scheduled.
The name of the victim has not yet been released.
