Greene County General Hospital Swears in New Police Department

Linton, Indiana—Greene County General Hospital is pleased to announce the creation of the Greene County General Hospital Police Department. Officers were sworn in during a ceremony on December 20, 2022.

Nathan Abrams, Board Chair and County Commissioner, presided over the ceremony and swore in six officers: Bryan Woodall, Rick Van Horn, Andrew Gonthier, Barrett Kapperman, Trey Sparks, and Michael Osborn. Bryan Woodall will serve as Chief of Police.

Chief Woodall has served as Manager of Public Safety at GCGH since 2013 and has over 30 years of law enforcement experience with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.

“This is a great opportunity for our department and for our hospital. It provides another layer of protection for patients, and we are proud to fulfill that role,” said Bryan Woodall, Chief of Police. 

These officers have undergone special training to serve in this role. Greene County General Hospital is grateful for their protection and their service.
