Fire hydrant flushing scheduled in Linton

Beginning Sunday, October 15, 2023, the Linton Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants. It is anticipated that the flushing process will require 4 nights to complete. The flushing will begin nightly at 8 PM and will last through 6 AM the following mornings. Therefore, all flushing activities should be complete by 6 AM on Thursday, October 19, 2023. During the process, customers may notice a discoloration of the water. It is recommended that clothes washing be kept to a minimum during this time as discolored water has been known to cause stains in white or light-colored clothing.
