Bloomington driver accused of possessing five grams of meth in Greene County
/Yesterday, Trooper Garvin conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle when he observed the driver not wearing a seatbelt in the area of Sylvania Road and Wolf Road in Greene County. The traffic stop investigation revealed that the driver initially provided false information regarding his identification but was later positively identified as Steven M. Bartlett, a 39-year old from Bloomington.
A subsequent record check showed that Bartlett was a Habitual Traffic Violator whose drivers license have a lifetime suspension. Further investigation revealed that he was also in possession of approximately 5 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Bartlett was arrested and transported to the Greene County Jail on the following charges,
-Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 5 Felony
-Habitual Traffic Violator, a Level 6 Felony
-Identity Deception, a Level 6 Felony
