COVID-19 Stats: Greene County reporting a total of 240 confirmed cases
/When the Indiana Department of Health announced the updated statewide COVID-19 stats on Tuesday, August 4, the data showed Greene County with a total of 240 confirmed cases and 34 deaths reported to the state, with a total of 3,370 tested. The total confirmed cases for Greene County was 225 last Tuesday, July 28. It was 233 last Friday, August 31. This represents 15 new cases in the last seven days, and seven of these since last Friday, August 1. Deaths in Greene County have remained steady at 34.
Of those tested, some results may not yet be received or reported and included in the data. The new statewide counts are released once a day.
HEALTH DEPARTMENT UPDATES STATEWIDE COVID-19 CASE COUNTS
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) today announced that 836 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings to 69,255 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
A total of 2,794 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 14 over the previous day. Another 202 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.
As of today, more than 37 percent of ICU beds and nearly 83 percent of ventilators are available across the state.
To date, 785,018 tests for unique individuals have been reported to ISDH, up from 775,482 on Monday.
