Cemetery repair workshop set for Saturday at Kentucky Ridge Cemetery
/The Greene County Cemetery Commission and Heritage Preservations LLC will host a cemetery repair workshop from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Kentucky Ridge Cemetery in Doans.
The cemetery is located near the intersection of State Road 58 and County Road 750 East.
The hands-on workshop will teach participants safe, respectful and effective techniques for repairing and preserving historic gravestones. Attendees will have opportunities to participate in demonstrations.
All participants must sign a waiver. Attendees should wear comfortable clothing and bring plenty of fluids, a sack lunch and a chair if they prefer not to stand.
The workshop is intended to help preserve local history for future generations.
