Boil advisory issued for parts of Linton after water main break

Due to a water main break reported Wednesday, Dec. 24, the Linton Water Department has issued a boil advisory for several areas of the city, effective immediately.

The advisory affects customers from State Road 54 and Price Road Junction (A Street NW) heading east, to include all customers on both sides of the highway until the 9th Street NW intersection as well as all customers on 11th Street NW and C Street NW (West of 11th), 10th street NW (south of State Road 54), 9th street NW & SW (south of State Road 54).

Officials anticipate the boil advisory will remain in effect through Christmas due to limited laboratory hours for required water sample testing. Residents will be notified as soon as test results are received and the advisory can be lifted.

The Linton Water Department apologized for the inconvenience and thanked residents for their cooperation.
