Bloomfield driver arrested during traffic stop
/A traffic stop last night in Bloomfield resulted in the arrest of a Bloomfield woman who allegedly said she had never gotten a driver’s license. An officer reported finding drugs in her car.
Evadean Ann Williams, 36, Bloomfield, was arrested by Deputy Marshal Jordan Allor of the Bloomfield Police Department late Monday, July 15.
Officer Allor conducted a traffic stop last night around 10:23 p.m. on a black 2004 Ford Focus in the area of South Jefferson Street and Duncan Street in Bloomfield.
Williams was the driver who allegedly told the officer that she did not have a driver’s license and had never had one. When asked if there was anything illegal in the car, she allegedly said there was marijuana and she consented to a warrantless search of the vehicle.
Officer Allor reported finding methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia in the car.
Williams was taken into custody and transported to the Greene County Jail where she was booked in around 11:45 p.m.
She was being held without bond pending a court appearance on preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license.
