UPDATE at 4:20 pm, LOCATED SAFE, ALERT CANCELLED.... Missing person in Greene County, if you see him, do not approach, call law enforcement

Det. Sgt. Jim O’Malley of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department is asking for information from the public to help locate a missing person who may be in an unstable condition.

Ryan Paul Followell, 44, male, 6’ tall, 350 lbs., was last seen in the area of State Road 59 just north of County Road 300 North around 11:20 a.m. At that time, he was walking north on the railroad tracks headed toward the City of Jasonville.

Followell was wearing only dark-colored boxer shorts.

Det. Sgt. O’Malley said Followell may be currently suffering with an unstable mental condition due to a recent vehicle wreck.

Det. Sgt. O’Malley cautions the public, do not approach. Please contact law enforcement.

This information was released to the public around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 14.

In addition to the sheriff’s department, the Linton Police Department and the Jasonville Police Department are involved in this investigation.
