Greene County advisory update:

The number of COVID-19 cases in Greene County increased by 22 during the week of Monday, August 10th through Sunday, August 16th. These cases have not been concentrated in one area of the county—community spread occurred in all the townships.

Here is how you can effectively reduce the spread of the virus.

  1. Wear a mask over your nose and mouth—indoors in all public spaces and outdoors in public spaces wherever it is not feasible to maintain 6ft of social distancing from another person not in the same household (eating or drinking shall be done only when 6ft of social distancing can be maintained from another person not in the same household).

  2. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds often. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.  Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

  3. If you are sick, stay at home.  Work with family and friends to have food, hygiene and medical supplies delivered until you are well.
