Wilmont Rex Wilson
/Wilmont Rex Wilson, 91, of Bloomfield, passed away Wednesday May 16, 2018, with his children at his side. Born January 31, 1927 in Highland Township in Greene County, he was the son of Frank and Flossie (Vandeventer) Wilson.
Rex was a farmer, he owned and operated semi trucks, he was a member of the Concord General Baptist Church and graduated from Worthington High School. He served his country with the United States Army in the Korean War.
Surviving relatives include his children, Regina Wilson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Bryan (Diane) Wilson, Bruce (Vicki) Wilson and daughter-in-law Paula Wilson all of Bloomfield, his grandchildren, Shanna Cunningham (Joe), Christopher Wilson (Erin), Amanda Helms (Troy), Aaron Wilson (Kalynn), Matthew Wilson (Chelsea), Jennifer Hart (Andy), Brianne Wilson, Brandon Wilson (Andi) and Lindsey Sullivan (Michael), and eight Great Grandchildren.
Rex was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Rosalie J. Wilson on October 13, 2015, one son Steven Rex Wilson on April 23, 2018, a great granddaughter Brenna Lynn Rosalie Cunningham on May 4, 2018, one sister Wanda Ray and one brother Wendell Wilson.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Craig Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Calvertville Cemetery.
