William Gene Meek, Jr.

William Gene Meek, Jr., 55, of Switz City, passed away Monday morning, October 18, 2021 at IU Medical Center in Bedford, Indiana. Born September 18, 1966 to William Gene Sr. and Marilyn Sue (Childers) Meek in Linton.

"Bil" as he was known by to family and friends was a 1985 graduate of Bloomfield High School, serving briefly in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany.

He is survived by his father, Gene, Bloomfield, one sister, Michelle (Billy Buckallew) Hooker of Dugger, one son, William Zakree (Ashley) Meek of Linton, two daughters, Kristina (Casei) Holman of Amarillo, Texas and Charlotte Borum of Jasonville; his grandchildren, Heaven, Angle, Noah, Ely, Sky, and Alyvia-Kate, Caylee Holman. Three nephews, Kyle (Michelle) Holz, Warsaw, Brandon (Lacie) Arney, Elnora and Aaron Arney of New Goshen; one great nephew, Knox Arney and one great niece, Delaney Holz; one maternal uncle, Steve Childers of South Carolina and one maternal aunt, Tondra (David) Allen of South Carolina; and too many cousins to list.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Sue; paternal grandparents, Cecil and Alta Meek; maternal grandparents, Elmer and Wanda Childers; paternal uncles, Harold Meek, Larry Meek and Richard Dean "Buzz" Meek; paternal aunts, Roberta Williams, Vera Whitley and one maternal aunt Marjorie Hamilin.

memorial services will be held on 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the 12th street Church of God in Linton, 1216 West Vincennes Street in Linton, with Brian Patterson officiating.
