William A. ‘Bill’ Lukens
/William A. ‘Bill’ Lukens, 79, of Owensburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at his home. He was born on September 17, 1942 in Raglesville, Indiana to Walter and Ruby (Sheetz) Lukens. Bill married his loving wife, Treva (Rollins) Lukens on July 5, 1997.
Bill was an owner/ operator of Lukens Home Service, building homes, remodeling and doing handyman work. He was also a Journeyman Electrician, retiring in 2005.
Family left to cherish the memories of Bill include: his wife, Treva Lukens; two sons, Bruce and Jennifer Lukens and Marcus Lukens; three daughters, Lisa and Ken Chestnut, Melinda and Ben Horsting and Lindsey Lukens; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Donna Sue Yuschak; mother-in-law, Pat Rollins; sisters-in-law, Linda Ketchem and Jane (Morris) Carie; brothers-in-law, Mike Coxon and Jim (Patty) Wade. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, foster children and extended family.
Bill was preceded in death by: his first wife, Marilyn A. Wade Lukens; his parents; sisters, Hazel Lukens, Eva George, Mary Coxon and Betty Jean Deckard; father-in-law, James Rollins; sister-in-law, Direnda Rollins; brothers-in-law, John Yuschak, Gary Deckard and Kenny George.
Funeral services to honor the life of Bill will be at 12 Noon on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Odon Nazarene Church with Rev. Josh Nichols officiating. Bill will be laid to rest in Burns City Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12 Noon at the church.
