Willard David Swaby
/Willard David Swaby, age 71, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 9:58 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at IU Health Bloomington Hosptial. He was born in Linton on October 19, 1948, the son of Willard Lee & Mary Elizabeth (Meier) Swaby.
David was a 1966 graduate of Switz City High School. He worked as a county manager for the Farm Bureau Co-op in Switz City. He was a self-employed farmer for many years.
He enjoyed competition gardening, being outdoors, fixing things mechanical, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife whom he married July 2, 1987, Janet (Voyles) Swaby of Linton, his children, Kim (Jimmy) Pickett of Newberry, David (Tina Howard) Swaby of Springville, Jon (April) Swaby of Worthington, step-children, Michelle (Jeff) Welsh of Worthington and Kristine (Jason) Habich of Linton, grandchildren, Joshua Pickett, Chris Howard, Ashley Howard, Brooklyn Welding, Cade Eaton, Liam Swaby, Ayrton Swaby, Casey Welsh, Jarrett Welsh, and Grace Habich, great-grandchildren, Jase, Bishop, Colton, Ella, Sophie, and a great-granddaughter due in September, Amari, one brother, Jim (Sheryl) Swaby of Jasonville, two sisters, Diane Hasler of Noblesville and Patty Edmonson of Jasonville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Buford and Winford Swaby.
Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Saturday, June 6, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m.
