Wayne L. Scott, 74, of Linton, IN passed away at 6:15 P.M. Saturday, April 3, 2021 in Greene County General Hospital in Linton, IN. He was born May 2, 1946 in Watseka, IL to Thomas Julius Scott and Lola Vestal (Hill) Scott.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Strahle of Linton, IN whom he married on September 1, 2018; children, Vicki Crusie (TomWelch) of Roachdale, IN, Gary Scott (Lori) of Linton, IN, Andrew Scott(Chloe Hadley) of Jasonville, IN; step-daughters, Paula Brown (Terry), Sherry Sapp (Danny) of Jasonville, IN, Sarah Wall (Tommy) of Linton, IN; grandchildren, Joseph Jerrell, Zane Yates, Kelsea Ross, Skylar Scott, Jaron Scott, Aiden Scott, Bentley Scott, Evelyn Scott, Brayton Scott; great-grandchildren, Allie Jerrell, Riley Jerrell, Carter Ross, Raelynn Ross, Bentley Ross, Coleson Ross, Theo Scott; sister, Betty Shirley (Dick) of Anderson, IN;.

He was preceded in death by his parents, twin-sister, Wanda Harrington, sister, Marilyn Waldrip; brother, Marle Scott.

Wayne graduated Pleasantville High School. He worked as a drag line operator in the coal mine, heavy equipment operator, farmer and truck driver. Wayne was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church, Dugger Masonic Lodge# 721 F&AM, Sullivan County Shrine and Greene County Shrine Clubs, a Lifetime Member of Linton VFW Auxiliary Post# 7118 and Worthington Sons of The American Legion Post# 106.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 P.M. Thursday and 9 A.M. until service time     Friday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services are 1 P.M. Friday, April 9, 2021 with Pastor Mike Rotman officiating. There will be a Masonic Memorial Service at 7 P.M. Thursday.

Interment will be at Mt, Maria Cemetery in Pleasantville, IN.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Wayne to Shriners Hospital for Children 4400 Clayton Ave., St. Louis, MO  63110. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
