Warren Bartlett

Warren Dean Bartlett, 83, of Bloomfield, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington. Born March 10, 1935 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Olen R. and Mae (Luallen) Bartlett.

Warren was a 1958 graduate of the Purdue University School of Civil Engineering. Warren was President of J.L. Wilson Company before owning and operating W.D. Bartlett Company, Inc. Warren was also a former President of the Indiana Highway Contractors. He was a member of the Bloomfield First Baptist Church and a charter member of the Bloomfield Jaycees. He also served as a Greene County Commissioner. Warren was an avid Purdue Boilermakers fan, St. Louis Cardinals fan as well as a Bloomfield Cardinals fan.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Paula whom he married October 7, 1955; his children, Greg Bartlett (Teresa) of Bloomfield, Christy Clements of Greenwood and Kim Gooding (Rodger) of Bloomfield; his grandchildren, Heath Bartlett, Cassidy Herron (Allan), Liza Bartlett, Jennifer Parr (Ethan), Jessica Strauser, Jordan Gooding (Jessica), Erica Cook (Daniel), Erin Stevens, Christian Stevens and Cameron Stevens; great grandchildren, Riley Strauser, Scarlett Strauser, Jayde Stevens, Gabrielle Herron and Lucy Gooding; and several nieces and nephews. Warren dearly loved his grandchildren and great-grand daughters.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Roy Bartlett, two sisters, Lucille Meadows and Sue Schumate and his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Bloomfield First Baptist Church, with Rev. Nathan Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Bartlettsville Cemetery in Bartlettsville.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the Bloomfield First Baptist Church. Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Bloomfield First Baptist Church Food Pantry.
