Vonda Lou (Long) Wise
/Vonda Lou (Long) Wise, 67, of Newberry, Indiana, went to Heaven peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, May 21, 2018, at her residence. She was born on June 29, 1950, in Daviess County, Indiana, to Harden and Doris (Swayze) Long.
Vonda was a member of the Odon First Christian Church. She was a grandmother that loved spending precious time with her grandchildren. She had worked at Royal Veterinary Clinic, Pampered Pets and Debs Happy Tails where she adored dogs and cats. Working in her flower garden was also a great passion she had.
Survivors include: two sons, Kristen (Rhonda) Mullis of Newberry; Dustin (Erin) Mullis of Bloomfield; six grandchildren, Easton Mullis, Joe Mullis, Jaysidee Gregory, Jacob Gregory, Adriene Gregory, Alex Johnson, one great-grandson, Jaxon Faulk. Siblings, Ivan (Charlotte) Long of Elnora, IN; Vernon (Priscilla) Long of Crossville, TN; Hilda (Randy) Sparks of Odon, IN; Norma (Bill) Kinnaman of Washington, IN; Marjorie (Melvin) Armstrong of Galveston, IN; and Connie (Alvin) Cook of Silverlake, IN. Also survived and loved by several nieces and nephews.
Vonda was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Bill Kinnaman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018, at Odon First Christian Church with Brother Richard Crabtree officiating. Vonda will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon, IN.
Family and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018, at the Odon First Christian Church.
The family has requested that memorial contributions can be made to the Odon First Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.
