Veda L. Pope, age 98, of Avon, formerly of Linton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 16, 2018, at Hendricks Regional Hospital. She was born in Lyons, IN on July 13, 1920, the daughter of Ralph Wallingford & Orlie Jane (Fields) Wallingford.

She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ and also attended Avon United Methodist Church as well as Linton Church of Christ. She was a member of Tri Kappa, volunteered at Greene County General Hospital, was a retired Pink Lady and an ambassador at Park Square Manor in Avon.

Veda is survived by her loving children, James "Jim" (Molly) Pope of Avon and Leann (Dennis Reinoehl) Pope of Carmel; grandchildren, Christine (Steve) List, Adam (Nicole) Pope and Benjamin (Chelsea) Reinoehl; great grandchildren, Allison List, Kathryn List and Kellen Pope; twin sister, Vada Abram; nieces and nephews, Jane Martin, Mark Woodruff and Jacob Terry as well as several great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Don Pope and her parents.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 12:00 Noon on Friday, December 21, 2018, with Minister Pat Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lyons.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 - 6:00 pm and from 11:00 am until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Linton Church of Christ or to Pleasant Grove Church of Christ.
