A graduate of Worthington High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army, Tim married Linda Clark on September 24, 1966. Tim was a husband, father, grandfather, neighbor, friend and a lifelong member of the Worthington community. He was a hard worker, outgoing, well known, and never failed to leave an impression on those he met.  Tim was an active member of the Allen Chapel Church and as opportunity allowed would attend the fellowship at the Switz City Full Gospel Church.

He retired, from NSWC Crane as a Naval Facilities Engineer Technician after 30+ years of service where he  was instrumental in the successful completion of many construction projects.  Tim operated Sears Auction Service most of his adult life, and enthusiastically pursued his interests in raising cattle and real estate.  Anyone who knew Tim knew that he always had to be busy doing something, but in his last few years you could find him on his front porch rocking chair.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother Jim and brothers Gene, Larry and Wayne and sisters Shandra and Rosemary.

Those left to remember Tim’s life include his wife of 55 years, Linda, son Timothy A. Sears, daughter Tammy S. (Josh) Harrell, grandson Ethan Sears, his sisters Margie Evans and Judy Greenwell and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 1pm on Wednesday October 13, 2021 with Pastor Paul McHenry officiating. Burial will follow at the Worthington Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday October 12 from 4pm-8pm and on Wednesday October 13 from 11am until the time of service.
