Terry Matthew "Matt" Hauser, age 50, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 1:50 pm on Saturday, October 13, 2018, surrounded by family and friends at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. He was born in Vincennes on  October 23, 1967, the son of Terry Hauser & Rosie (Grounds) Hauser and they survive.

Matt was a graduate of L&M High School. He last worked at Greene County General Hospital for a couple years in maintenance and also worked construction for several years before that. He was a hunter, fisherman, member of the National Rifle Association and attended Fellowship Baptist Church in Linton. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Dawn (Swaeby) Hauser of Linton; daughters, Cassie (Will Pool) Hauser of Evansville; Lauren (James) Kingsley of Evansville;  son, Clayton Hauser of Linton; sister, Holly (Jason) Clark of Linton; mother-in-law, Melba Gregory of Linton; nephew and niece, Andy Clark, Ali Clark and several cousins and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Andy Hauser; maternal grandparents, Max and Doris Grounds and paternal grandparents, Ralph and Areva Hauser.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at Fellowship Baptist Church in Linton on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, with Pastor John Winders officiating. 

Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery (Dog Island Cemetery) in Lyons, Indiana.

Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm and at Fellowship Baptist Church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
