Tamara "Tammy" Ashton, age 52, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Sullivan, IN on March 8, 1972, the daughter of Thomas Ashton, Sr. & Vanessa (Simmons) Delph.

She was a graduate of Linton Stockton High School. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren.

Tammy is survived by her mother, Vanessa (Bill Puckett) Delph; father, Thomas (Pam) Ashton, Sr.; daughters, Christan (Steven Howard) Burton and Jessica Burton; son, Derek Burton; grandchildren, Bentley Keller, Branson Burton, Braxton Keller, Steven Burton, Xaviar Burton, Kaylynn Burton, Jarrin Wright, Serenity Wright, Temperance Wright; siblings, Thomas (Kris) Ashton, Jr., Ronald (Christina) Ashton, Patty Ashton and Margie Janeway; aunts, Regina (Jerry) Ward and Penny Lifford.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Ashton and Gibby Ashton; maternal grandparents, Lawrence & Rosemary Simmons; paternal grandparents, Robert & Emma Walker; aunt, Bonnie Barrix and uncle, Lewis Simmons.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
