Shirley Saladin
/On the most beautiful, perfect sunny day of August 16th, 2022, Shirley Dorine (Frye) Saladin peacefully went to be with her angels she loved SO much. Shirley was born June 23rd 1938 in Koleen to William Roy Frye and Mary Bernice (King) Frye.
She had four brothers, Jack, Jerry, Jimmy and John Frye and a sister Linda (Frye) Gilmore.
Shirley married William Desire Saladin in 1957. Together they had three children. William Desire Saladin Jr. (still born), Timothy Joe Saladin and Cindy Diane Saladin-Condol. Shirley worked as an operator at Smithville telephone, RCA, a secretary for her brother Jerry, and then countless years taking care of all the babies she could manage to, from strangers who needed a sitter to every grand baby and more. She loved ALL her babies and whether they were actually hers or not, they became family.
Shirley IS a STRONG Christian woman and was a Lyons High School graduate and a member of Lyons Community Church. She loved to sing her gospel music and had a healing gift of prayer. She loved to collect angels and loved her red roses so much. She has the strongest most intense undying love for ALL of her family and will no doubt have a protective hand over all of us until we go to meet her again.
Shirley was preceded in going home to Heaven by her husband Bill, her baby Desi, her son Tim, her mom and dad Roy and Mary, brothers Jack, Jimmy and John and many other beloved friends and family.
