Sharon J. (Taylor) Jones, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at home in Linton, embraced by her devoted family, on Saturday evening, November 22, 2025. Born in Sullivan on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1941, to Marvin E. and Freda A. (Trinkle) Taylor, Sharon radiated kindness and joy throughout her life.

Known to friends and family for her gentle spirit and unwavering faith, Sharon graduated from Linton-Stockton High School in 1959 and married Donald R. Jones, in 1962. Their remarkable 63-year marriage was a testament to dedication, laughter, and shared adventures. Sharon found joy in crafting memory-filled scrapbooks, designing cozy quilts, and shopping trips with her loved ones. Traveling with Donald and family left her with cherished memories. Sharon's legacy is unforgettably marked by her warmth and generosity. She enjoyed spending time with and nurturing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a life-long member of Linton First Baptist Church.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Donald R. Jones; her dedicated daughter, Beverley A. Westfall; her cherished grandchildren, Joshua (Krysten) McDaniel, Sabrina (Logan) Stockrahm, Crystal (Kyle) Wilson, Lindsey (Dylan) Hazlewood; and eight adored great-grandchildren, Jayden, Bryson, Ryker, Ciera Dawn, Cora, Rowan, Aria, and Emmett.

Sharon reunites in peace with her parents; her son, Michael R. Jones; and her sister, Marlyas (Taylor) Wible.

A funeral service celebrating Sharon's life will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton of Walton Funeral Service at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 28, 2025, with Rev. David Tyra officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton. Friends are welcome to arrive after 12:30 PM to attend the service at 1:00 PM.
