Sharon Butt, age 73, of Linton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Clay County, IN on January 28, 1946.

She was a graduate of Brazil High School. She worked as a registered nurse for 40+ years and loved working with her patients. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Vicksburg and enjoyed sewing, cooking and traveling.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Samuel "Jack" Butt of Linton; daughters, Kimberley Jean Mize of Linton and Kelly Lynn McKinnon of Linton; son, Troy (Jan) Alan Butt of Evansville; grandchildren, Derek Willard, Samantha Neff, Ashley Hibbard, Richard Walton II, Troy Alan Butt, Jr., Shiv-jhon Cullum, Levi Butt, Robert Smith, Shelby Nash and Jacklyn Nash; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Christie (Randy) Clark and nephew, Devin Clark.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Lee Campbell; parents; sister, Vicki Lynn Price and brother, Mark Brush.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, with Pastor Doug Cassel officiating. Burial will follow at Moss Cemetery in Ashboro.

Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Monday, December 9, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 pm and at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mission Field of Bethel Baptist Church through the funeral home.
