Scotty “Scott” A. Keller, age 76, of Linton, passed away just shy of his 77th birthday at his home. He was born on December 22, 1943, the eldest son of James F. Keller and Dorliss A. (Johnson) (Keller) Christy.

He worked construction when he was younger and was a heavy equipment operator in the mines, as well as positions at Otis Elevator and G.E., eventually retiring from Duke Energy where he was a safety inspector. 

During conversations with Scott, sooner or later he would wonder why this or that was so; rest assured he would call back after he had thoroughly researched it, quoting chapter and verse! He always had a good story to tell, and will be greatly missed.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law James P. and Linda Keller; and daughter-in-law Stephanie Keller.

He is survived by his son Nicholas Keller; granddaughters Lindsay Alt and Kristen Keller; brothers Paul (Judy) Keller, Nick (Brenda) Keller, Jan (Elaine) Keller, Phillip Christy and Jack Christy; sisters Phyllis Christy and Sarah Christy; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton.
