Sandra “Sandy” Mae Turner

Sandra “Sandy” Mae Turner, age 80, of Switz City, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, November 4, 2022, at her residence. She was born in Indianapolis on April 27, 1942, the daughter of Carl Wildman & Lois (Holman) Dickerson.

She was a 1960 graduate of Decatur Central High School. She babysat for over 35 years in the Switz City community. Her whole life has been about her family and her faith in God. She was a Sunday school teacher, singer and preacher. She attended the Switz City Full Gospel Church where she and her family were members for over 60 years.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Dennis L. Turner of Switz City; son, Dennis “Jeff” (Ann) Turner of Lyons; siblings, Linda Fish, Jackie Mowder, Steve Wildman, MaryAnn Coleman and Jim Dickerson; grandchildren, Faith Boelter, Kyesha Whitfield, Kylie Palmer, Craven Palmer, Eric Palmer, Zeus Garcia and Marina Boelter who has been missing since 2015 as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Walter Dickerson; sister, Connie Dickerson; brothers-in-law, Marvin Fish, Randy Mowder and Duke Coleman as well as sister-in-law, Debbie Wildman.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Switz City Full Gospel Church on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 with Pastor Vern Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Switz City Cemetery in Switz City.

Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Madi””s Hope Foundation through the funeral home.
