Sandra S. Schmidt, age 76, of Switz City, passed away at 2:30 A.M. on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Indianapolis on September 12, 1947, the daughter of Rex Spangler and Alma Jean (Burton) Spangler.

She was a 1965 graduate of Southport High School and later graduated from Indiana Business College. She worked in healthcare with hospice, in-home care, and served as a unit secretary at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove.

Sandra loved her dogs and working with flowers.

She is survived by two daughters, Angie (Billy) Goff of Worthington and Renee (Donavon) Buttz of Ft. Myers, FL; four grandchildren, Jakob Boudreau, Makayla Yuill, Brewster Goff, and Christian Buttz; one great-grandson, Braylin Buttz; and her sister, Judy Raker.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private arrangements are in care of Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington.
