Ruth Blankenship, 70, of Worthington, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2020 at the I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. Ruth was born on January 20, 1951 in Bloomington, Indiana to Eugene Dalward Pruett and Mary Pauline (White) Pruett Morrow Reese.

Ruth drove a school bus and loved it for over forty years. Ruth cared for everyone, she was a mother to many, grandmother to all and always saw the good in people. Ruth enjoyed sewing, gardening, and traveled in a group on her GoldWing trike.

Ruth is survived by her mother, children, Laura L. Dyer, Heather (Tony) Hubbard, Steven L. (Deanna) Blankenship, Jr., Brianna Heavenly Dawn Blankenship, grandchildren, MaKrista (Cody) Dyer-Bottoms, Steven Dyer, MaKenna Blankenship, MarLee Blankenship, Stormy Fields, siblings, Gloria L. Blalock, Milly Appel, C. Joy (Daniel) Stephenson, and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her father, husband, Steve Blankenship, daughter, Tanya Blankenship-English, and one brother, Kenny Pruett.

A memorial service will take place at 3:00 PM, Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the Folsom Memorial United Methodist Church, 8 North Lafayette Street, Worthington, Indiana, 47471. Pastor Rick Pressel will officiate.

Friends are encouraged to come and share memories from 2:00 PM, Sunday until the time of services.
