Ruth “Babe” Corbin, age 94, of Linton, passed away surrounded by her family on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13, 2018, at her daughter’s home in Yucca Valley, California. She was born in Linton on September 27, 1923.

Ruth was a graduate of Linton-Stockton High School. She and her family moved to California during her early years. She worked in the office of Dr. Robert Hood in California for 37 years.

Ruth moved back to her hometown of Linton to care for her mother in the early 1990’s. She remained in Linton throughout her retirement.

She enjoyed participating in the Bridge Club with many of her friends and Tri Kappa.

She is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn “Nicky” Kohler and Patricia Ellen Fallon, both of Palm Springs, California, three grandchildren, Brian (Nicole) McCabe of Clairmont, California, Alexandra Luiza of Palm Springs, California, and Clay Fallon, Steamboat, Colorado, a granddaughter-in-law, Christy McCabe of Huntington Beach, California, four great-grandchildren, Morgan, Marshall, Ashley, and Indy McCabe, and two sisters, Evely Harvey and Annalee McClanahan.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth (Humphreys) Owen, her grandson, Darren McCabe.

Private family services were observed with burial held in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
