Ronald DeWayne Hamlin
Ronald DeWayne Hamlin, 83, of Bedford formerly of Bloomfield, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Bliss Place in Bedford. Born January 2, 1939 in Linton, he was the son of Clyde and Marie (Owens) Hamlin.
Ronald worked as a carpenter for Weddle Brothers and J.L. Wilson Construction. He attended the Bloomfield Wesleyan Church, was a member of the Greene County Gideons and the Carpenters Union Local #546. He served his country in the Army National Guard.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Opal (Dobson) Hamlin whom he married December 24, 1959; his children, Clyde DeWayne Hamlin (Deanna) and Annette English (Steven); one brother, Fred Hamlin; his grandchildren, Jessica Marie Lockman (Kyle) and Ashton Wayne English; three great grandchildren, Makyla Kayanna Lockman, Aria Marie Lockman and Mariah Pachant Lockman; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Evelyn Maxine Fell, Irene Sparks, Ann Hamlin, two brothers, Robert and Rex Hamlin and two grandchildren, Thomas DeWayne Hamlin and Kayanna Marie Hamlin.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Walnut Grove Cemetery in rural Bloomfield. There will be no public visitation.
