Robert “Rob” Leon Taylor, age 54, of Linton, passed away at 10:38 P.M. on Monday, September 26, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Lubbock, Texas on July 19, 1968, the son of Albert and Mayme L. (Ward) Taylor.

Rob was a 1986 graduate of Shakamak High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during Operation Desert Storm. Following his time in service, he worked at Great Dane in Brazil, Hulman Field Airport, and Wabash Valley Correctional Facility as a corrections officer for many years.

He was a member of the American Legion in the Philippines. Rob enjoyed riding motorcycles and working with computers.

He is survived by his parents of Linton; two brothers, Gregory (Lori) Taylor of Hymera and Mark (Carrie) Taylor of Linton; a sister, Becky Phillips of West Terre Haute; five nieces and nephews, Jamie Lynn Mathis, Amy Richardson, A.J. Phillips, Sara Ross, and Blake Taylor; ten great nieces and nephews; two great-great nieces; and his significant other, Mary Jeang Ramat of the Philippines.

Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. until the time of funeral service at 7:00 P.M., Rev. Ben Biggs officiating. Military honors provided by the American Legion Post #22.

Burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Wilford at a later date.
