Robert L. Baker
Robert L. Baker, 73, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Bob was born in Newark on October 11, 1946 to Otto W. Baker and Ruth Ann (Simms) Baker.
Bob served his country proudly in the United State Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Bob retired from N.S.W.C. Crane as a Explosion Worker. Bob was a member of the VFW in Crane, the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge, AMVETS of Owensburg and was of the Pentecostal Faith.
Bob is survived by his children, Robert L. Baker, II. of Bloomfield, Tonya Baker and Gean Maxfield, JR. of Spencer, Sonya Baker and Victor Copeland of Ellettsville, grandchildren, Devin Kersey, Raina Baker-Copeland, Blake Maxfield, Chase Maxfield, Jaydaa Copeland, great-grandchild, Marley Kersey, one brother, Gary W. Baker of Owen County, companion, Mary Jo Vandeventer and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Stephen Baker, and sister-in-law, Connie Baker.
A private burial will take place at a later date.
