Robert D. Johnson passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on the morning of September 29th, 2024, at the age of 78.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dorrell E. Johnson Sr., mother, Betty L. Johnson, brother, Dorrel E. Johnson Jr., brother, Donald Johnson of CA, sisters, Mary Foster, Audrey Johnson and Betty Cox of Linton.

Robert is survived by his 2 sons, Michael (Julia) Johnson of Coatesville, IN and Jamie Johnson of Camby, IN. Robert had 4 grandchildren, Carissa Johnson (Shawn) of Plainfield, IN, Caitlen Johnson (Josh) of Lyons, IN, Camryn Byers (Brandon) of Coatesville, IN, and Cody Johnson (Tamie) of Camby, IN. Robert had 9 loving great grandchildren, Brennen and Cayden Cox, Cash Byers, Maelynn and Warren Bigelow, Waylen and William Johnson, Harper and Easton Bedell.

Robert was a US NAVY Vietnam Veteran, in his retired years he enjoyed spending his time taking care of his animals, fishing, going to breakfast daily with his friends and teaching his family about the ways around life.

During his final days, Robert spent his time in Coatesville with his family. He enjoyed being able to sit outside on the back porch overlooking the field, listening to the wind whistle and the birds chirping.

Robert is and will forever be deeply missed by those who he made an impact on.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton. There will be no services.
