Ralph Wayne Roach

Ralph Wayne Roach, 85 of Switz City, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at home with his loving family and his wife of 65 years, Joetta, by his side. Born June 8, 1936 the son of Leslie Mason and Bertha Holzclaw Roach in Mineral.

Ralph owned The Worthington Times and Jasonville Leader, worked at Crane printshop, was a Methodist pastor and was a prolific author.

In his own words from his memoir Rambin with RWR he states “A special note of gratitude to family and friends who provided inspiration and assistance for my wonderful life-time of stories. Special thanks, first, to my Lord and Savior who blesses me so richly every day; then to Jo, my wife, to my son Michael, to daughters Lynda, Lori, Lana and Lisa; to those loving grandchildren Kelsi, Dominic, Caleb, Ronnie, Kris, Joshua, Toni, Michael, Ryan, and Andrew” and now great grandchildren Luke, Abby, Koan, James, Nicholas, and Karson.

Surviving relatives include Ralph’s wife Jo, four daughters, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren, his sister Thelma, two brothers Lloyd and Keith, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Ralph was preceded in death by his son Michael, grandson Ronnie, his nephews Jeff and Brad.

Friends may call from 4pm to 7pm on Friday December 10 at Lester Jenkins and sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, also at Jenkins and sons in Bloomfield with Rev. Biggs officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
