PATRICK LEE FUGATE SR, 66, of Coalmont, IN passed away at 8:23 A.M. Wednesday, December 13, 2023 in his home.

He was born March 17, 1957 in Hazard, KY to Adam M. Fugate and Annie (Combs) Fugate.

Survivors include his wife of 6 years, Toni Fugate of Coalmont, IN who he married on February 14, 2017; children, Patrick Lee Fugate Jr. of Indianapolis, IN, Leanna Polson (Danny) of Greenwood, IN, Jennifer Fugate (Michael) of Martinsville, IN; step-sons, Robert Lovelace of Vincennes, IN, James Grantham of Terre Haute, IN; grandchildren, Kaydance Polson, Hayden Polson, Harrison Polson, Hudson Polson, Anna Polson, Gabriella, Autumn, Zaydic, Zander Lovelace; siblings, Brenda Stidham (Bunny) of Hazard, KY, Doris Smith (Lawrence) of Indianapolis, IN, Adam Fugate Jr. (Judi) of Indianapolis, IN; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Johnnie Fugate.

Lee graduated from Buckhorn High School. He worked maintenance with Crossroads Farms Dairy. Lee enjoyed doing all things outdoors, which included hunting and fishing. He had a camper set at the North American Hunting Club lake where he went to fish often. Lee was a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He loved his trusty sidekick Chewbacca his dog. He never met a stranger and will be greatly missed.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 P.M. Monday, December 18, 2023 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 8 P.M. with Pastor Dick Smith officiating. In keeping with Lee’s wishes cremation is scheduled.
