Patricia A. Abrell, age 86, of Freedom, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 13, 2021, at Stonecroft Health Campus in Bloomington. She was born in Bloomington, Indiana on January 30, 1935, the daughter of Bluford E. Abrell & Mary Alta (Figg) Abrell.

Patty was a graduate of Freedom High School in 1953. She worked at Griffin Engineering in Worthington, and began working at The Owen County State Bank in Spencer, as a Receptionist. Patty was a lifetime member of the Freedom Methodist Church.

Patty is survived by sister-in-law, Rita Abrell, nephew, Rick (Kathy) Abrell, niece, Debbie Vilchuck, Mark Abrell, Steve Abrell, Shawn Abrell all of Terre Haute, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews, and one great-great-great nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, John R. Abrell.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 North Montgomery Street, Spencer. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Freedom United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association through the funeral home.
