Norman Gage, age 77, of Indianapolis, formerly of Linton, passed away peacefully at 8:16 am on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at his home. He was born in on October 21, 1946, the son of Lewis and Marietta K. (Holder) Gage.

Norman retired from the City of Linton as a maintenance caretaker. He enjoyed caring for the Linton Park and upheld all the lawn and maintenance for the city.

Norman enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and working outdoors. He always made time to visit with others and never met a person without a smile on his face. He loved watching westerns and he and his wife, Dorcus, loved to socialize.

He is survived by sons, Mike Gage of Bloomfield and David Allen (Wendy) of Franklin; daughters, Misty Frazer (Bruce) of Indianapolis and Nicole Gage of Indianapolis; a sister, Linda (Joe) Hash of Linton; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild on the way in November.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorcus Gage; son, Opie Gage; grandchild, James Reed; and a brother, Danny Gage.

A celebration of life Memorial Service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 13, 2024, with James Stone. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 13, from 11 am until the time of service.
