Nancy Jayne Pastore, of Jasonville, IN, passed away at 2:44 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana.

She was born December 30th, 1954 in Linton, Indiana at Greene County General to Robert Carl Peterson and Charlotte May (Billingsley) Peterson.

Nancy married her first husband Andrew Pointer on March 15, 1975 and they were later divorced. She married her second husband, Donald Pastore on October 16, 1999, he passed away on July 10, 2019.

Survivors include her children, Corey Michael Pointer (Candra) of Jasonvillle, and Nathan Andrew Pointer (Courtney) of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Alexis Brunson, Halle Brunson, Jolee Brunson, Andie Pointer, Jaxson Harbaugh, Taylor Pointer, Cambri Pointer, Bentley Piehl and Blair Piehl; sister Elaine (Peterson) Moon of Frankfort, IN; nephew, Aaron Moon; several cousins and best friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and second husband Donald Pastore.

Nancy attended Jasonville Schools and graduated from Shakamak High School Class of 1972. She attended Indiana State University and received a diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology. She worked for many years as a medtech for Mary Sherman Hospital in Sullivan, Greene County General Hospital in Linton and Regional Hospital in Terre Haute. Nancy and Andrew raised their two sons Corey Michael Pointer and Nathan Andrew Pointer in Jasonville. She attended Bethel Community Church.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024. Services are immediately following at 8 P.M. with Pastor Randy Tucker officiating.

Graveside Services are Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024 at 10 A.M. at Lebanon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Nancy to Cox Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
