Nancy Dianne (Roberts) Hacker
Nancy Dianne (Roberts) Hacker, 64, of Springville, passed away January 7, 2021. Nancy was born February 13, 1956 in Bloomington, Indiana to Kenneth and Esther (Corwin) Roberts.
She was preceeded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Grace Corwin and Dewey Victor and Dora Roberts. Her parents, Kenneth and Esther Roberts.
Surviving relatives include her husband of 44 years, Roger Hacker; children, Chad Hacker and Courtney Leinenbach (Justin); grandchildren, Zadyn, Lenix and Maven Leinenbach; brother, Ed Roberts (Sharla); nieces, Heather Perkins (Jason) and Shannon Goodall (Brad); nephew, Tracy Byers (Karen); Aunt, Naomi Bays; mother-in-law, Mary Hacker; sister-in-law, Phyllis Sowders and several cousins, great nieces and great nephews.
She married her high school sweetheart, Roger Hacker on March 26, 1976.
Nancy was a 1974 graduate of Eastern High School where she was involved in many activities, most notibly cheerleading. After high school she went on to work as a teller at the Bloomfield State Bank for several years. She worked various jobs before becoming a Teaching Assistant at Eastern Greene Elementary School. For the last 32 years, she cared deeply for her EG community, faculty, staff, and every student.
Nancy had a huge heart, was always smiling and had a contagious laugh like no other. Family was everything to Nancy. She loved to celebrate with others and was always there to cheer you on. She loved shopping - shop til you drop was one of her many mottos. You could always count on seeing Nancy and Roger at a craft fair, yard sale or festival.
Nancy truly was one of a kind. She loved her family, friends and community. She loved life. She will forever live in our hearts and be Eastern's #1 Thunderbird.
Visitation will be held from 1-8 pm on Wednesday and 11 am -1 pm on Thursday at the Cincinnati Christian Church. Due to current Covid restrictions, there will be a limited number of people allowed in the building at one time. Masks will be required.
Services will be privately held at 2 pm on Thursday at the Cincinnati Christian Church with Pastor Rob Martindale officiating. Burial will follow at Solsberry Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to the Eastern Greene Family Resource Fund.
