Mildred Marie Martindale

Mildred Marie Martindale, 95, of Solsberry, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Mildred was born on January 12, 1927 in Greene County, the daughter of Dexter and Lettie (Breeden) Sparks.

Reunited with her husband, Herb, who she was married to for sixty-four years until his passing on January 17, 2013.

Mildred was a lifelong member of Greene County Chapel United Methodist Church and at the time of her passing, was the oldest active member. She was a member of the Ladies Aide, an avid gardener and enjoyed playing euchre and dominos. She loved time spent with her family.

Surviving relatives include: her children, Larry Martindale (Marsha), Rev. Robert Martindale (Debbie) and Stanley Martindale (Tamara); grandchildren, Kimberly Walls (Adam), Travis Martindale (Norma), Kyle Martindale (Pam), Jessica Lindsey (Kyle), Matthew Martindale (Elizabeth), Tina Salter (Herb) and Nathan Martindale (Brittney); and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Herbert Martindale, sister, Anna Mae Buskirk, four brothers, Hollis Sparks, Elsworth Sparks, Herb Sparks and infant brother, Austin and her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Greene County Chapel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Rob Martindale officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Chapel cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and 1 hour prior to services on Wednesday at Greene County Chapel United Methodist Church.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Greene County Chapel Cemetery.
