Michael “Mike” Price, age 77, of Linton, passed away at 2:30 am on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born in Sullivan, IN on September 12, 1945, the son of Dihone & Marjorie (Robertson) Price.

He was a 1963 graduate of Switz City Central High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran for the United States Air Force. He worked as a coal miner for over 40 years. He was a member of the Lyons American Legion Post #479 and loved spending time with his loving family. He enjoyed Geocaching as a hobby around the county and while on vacations.

Mike is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Jill (Johnson) Price of Linton; children, David (Kristin Harp) Price of Lyons, Amy (Shane) Cole of Carlisle and Greg (Jennifer) Price of Freelandville; grandchildren, Kyle (Danielle Monroe) Phillips, Jarrad (Kendra) Klitz, Leah (Aaron Koch) Klitz, Gavin Price, Landon Price, Jorja Price and Adria Price; great granddaughters, Caroline Phillips, Scarlette Klitz, Elliette Klitz, Margarette Klitz, one great granddaughter Klitz on the way and Lillian Koch; siblings, Marsha Markle, Linda Gabbard, Steve Price and Nancy Waskom.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jay Price; sister, Mary Kay Price as well as his beloved dog, Molly.

A private graveside service will be observed by the family at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton.
