Melvie Ellen Wiley, 49, of Midland, IN passed away at 6:42 A.M. Monday, August 15, 2022 in IU Health Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington, IN. She was born May 9, 1973 in (City, State) to Elva Wood Wiley and Melvie (Adkins) Wiley.

Melvie Ellen married Joseph Warfield Edwards III May 3, 2013, he passed away on November 19, 2021.

Survivors include her siblings, Maggie Templeton of Shelbyville, IN, Cora Belle Chittendon of Jasonville, IN, George Dale Wiley (Carmella) of Jasonville, IN, Calleen Wiggington of Midland, IN; brother in-laws, Jack Blanton of Midland, IN; sister in-law; Sharon Wiley of Midland, IN; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Bertha Irene Blanton; brother, Elva Smith Wiley Jr; brother in-law; Gene Wiggington.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from Noon to 2 P.M. Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the Funeral Home. Memorial Services are immediately following at 2 P.M.

Interment will be at Fry Cemetery near Midland, IN.
