Melissa Ann Long

Melissa Ann Long, 55, of Bloomfield passed away Friday February 4, 2022 at University Hospital in Indianapolis. Born November 28, 1966 in Linton, Indiana the daughter of Donna Kay (Bough) Heaton.

Melissa was a bartender at the Odon VFW, a life time member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post # 196 and the VFW Auxiliary in Spencer, she was a charter member of the American Legion Riders Chapter # 196.

Surviving relatives include her husband DeWayne Long, her children, Jarad Long, Dakota Long, she has one granddaughter, Natalie Long, two siblings, Tim Weaver, Leann Lawless and her mother Donna Heaton.

Melissa was preceded in death by a sister Kristie Dawn Weaver, and her maternal grandparents James and Delema Bough.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 P.M. on Friday February 11, 2022 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 9 A.M. Saturday until the hour of service at the Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Jim Blackmore officiating. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery.
