Max Jordan

Max Jordan, 91, of Bloomfield passed away Saturday August 22, 2020 at Greene County General Hospital. Born November 24, 1928 in Dugger, Indiana the son of Fred and Essie (Withers) Jordan.

Max was self-employed, owning and operating Jordan & Vaught Insurance in Bloomfield, he was a farmer, had owned Jordan Feed Mill, had worked for Bill Resler at the Block Plant, was a salesman for Golden Investors. Max was a member of the Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church, had served on the Bloomfield School board, and a past member of the Bloomfield Lions Club.

Surviving relatives include his wife Madge Jordan, his children, Joe Jordan, Judy (Ron) Wise, Jeanne (Donnie) Gee all of Bloomfield, his grandchildren, Jarrod Skinner, Shandi Sheets, Nathan Skinner, Timi Jo Thompson, Tiffany Harrell, Tiera Jordan, J.T. Jordan, Jacey Jordan, Jordan Gillenwater, and Blake Gillenwater, his great-grandchildren, Brycen Skinner, Sophia Skinner, Olivia Skinner, Rocky Thompson, Haley Thompson, Duke Thompson, Harper Harrell, Piper Harrell, Mailee Sheets, Myla Sheets, two brothers, Jack Jordan of Northfield, Minnesota and Fred Jordan, Jr; of Bismarck, North Dakota.

Max was preceded in death by a daughter, Janie Skinner, two brothers, Ted and Joe Jordan and his parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Monday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church in Lyons with Rev. Jim Roach officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery.

The family wishes and memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association in Max’s name.
