Mary Gravemier
Mary Gravemier, age 86, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 1:49 pm on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at her home. She was born in Linton on January 6, 1935, the daughter of William & Myrtle (Hart) Gillette.
Mary worked for Page's Bible Book Store and then the City of Linton in the utility department as a bookkeeper for many years until her retirement.
Mary was a member of the Linton First Baptist Church and taught children's church at Olive Branch Baptist Church for decades.
She enjoyed reading, studying the bible, entertaining missionaries, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Mark (Debbie) Gravemier of Mississippi; son-in-law, Leland Roth of Sterling, Virginia; grandsons, Paul Andrew (Lyndsie) Gravemier and Caleb Owen Gravemier; brother-in-law, Wayne Gravemier as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gregory Gravemier and her husband, Frank A. Gravemier on June 4, 2021, just 13 days before her passing, siblings, Harry Gillette, Ruth Geider, Morris Gillette, and a sister that passed during childhood.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home on Monday, June 21, 2021 with Pastor Dave Tyra officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
