Mary (Coffin) Mattox, 86, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 5:48 P.M. Saturday, June 11, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 8, 1936 in Terre Haute, IN to Clifford Coffin and Ethel (Seleia) Coffin.

Survivors include her daughter, Vickie Mattox of Jasonville, IN;grandchildren, Natasha Sherman (Jim) of Jasonville, IN, ShawnnaAustin (Wayne) of Jasonville, IN; great-grandchildren, Kodi Sherman (Josh), Delayni Butt (Levi), Kaylee Sullivan, Hailynn Sullivan, Elizabeth Sullivan, Johnathan Mellinger, Tamarra Austin; great-great-grandchildren, Bryson Dicus, Zaryn Dicus, Kennadi Butt, KarsenButt, Kamarie Butt; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Clifford Coffin, Darrell Coffin, Chuck Coffin, and Paulene Crawford.

Mary graduated from Gerstmeyer High School in Terre Haute, IN. She worked many years for the Terre Haute Gas Company. She later worked for Work Force Development until her retirement. Mary loved spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family of Mary Mattox sends a special thank you to Rachel Ladson with Southern Care Hospice for her love and care for their grandmother.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from Noon to 2 P.M. Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 2 P.M. with Vincent House officiating. In keeping with Mary’s wishes cremation will be scheduled following services.
