Mary Cathryn Foster, age 94, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 6:18 AM on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Glenburn Home in Linton. She was born in Linton on June 25, 1930, the daughter of Doral and Hazel (Cunningham) Johnson.

Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed helping her husband, Bob, at then Linton Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was a life-member of the ladies auxiliary V.F.W. in Linton. She loved gardening and her flowers. She was a wonderful homemaker and housekeeper.

She is survived by her two children, Cathy Tennant and Robert V. Foster, of Linton; her grandchildren, Mike Tennant, Joe Tennant, Shannon Tennant, and Jennifer Lynn Hooper; her great-grandchildren, Austin, Brandon, Jessica, Mason, Ethan, Braden, Kaitlyn, Wyatt, Grant, and Lilly; and her brother, Robert Johnson of Lyons.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert "Bob" Lee Foster; two brothers, Don and Bud Johnson; and two sisters, Audrey Johnson and Jeanne Cox.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home of Linton in Linton at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 12 noon until the time of service.
