Marvin D. Jackson, age 79, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 6:22 pm on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Cory, Indiana on November 23, 1938, the son of the late Clifford Russell Jackson & Margaret Jackson.

He was a graduate of Cory High School. He worked at Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division in the Advanced Technology Department from 1963-1994. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Linton.

Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sally Jackson of Linton; son, Kent (Ronda) Jackson of Linton; grandchildren, Landi (Caleb) Cliver, Traven Bedwell (Chad), Carli Jackson (Eric), Easton Jackson (McKenzie), Samantha Jackson, Joanna (Anthony) Sipes, Brooke Jackson and Bryant Jackson (Avaree); great grandchildren, Linkyn Yarber, Walker Cliver, Cashen Cliver, Kace Okulovich, Aiden Sipes and Kadyn Jackson.

He is preceded in death by his son Jeff Jackson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton. Private services will be observed by the family at a later date.
